The emerald cut is a step cut: the facets are long, parallel, and staircase-like. They reflect light in broad flashes rather than the scattered sparkle of a brilliant cut. The effect is glassy, architectural, and very clean. Set in a staggered pattern where adjacent stones sit at slightly different heights, the band creates movement and depth without relying on brilliant-cut fireworks to earn attention.
