Refund Policy

Because most Atelier Diamante pieces are sourced and made personally for you, please read this policy carefully. It explains what can be returned, what is final sale, and how returns and exchanges work.

Returns (eligible items)

Most of what we make can come home to us. Eligible items may be returned within 30 days of delivery with free, insured return shipping. We send you a prepaid label, and there are no restocking fees.

Eligible for return:

• Pieces held ready for immediate delivery
• Loose certified diamonds
• Settings from our standard collection, including those made in your size

To be eligible, the item must be unworn and unused, in the same condition you received it, with all original packaging, certificates, and documentation, accompanied by your receipt or proof of purchase. We include two complimentary return labels per client per year; additional returns are accepted with return shipping at cost.

Exchanges

Within 30 days of delivery, an eligible piece may be returned and its full value applied toward anything else we make: another piece from the collection, a different stone, or a new commission. Because most of our work is made to order, an exchange is handled as an authorized return plus a new order, and Dave coordinates both personally so nothing is left to chance. Bespoke commissions are final sale and not eligible for exchange.

Complimentary resizing

Every ring includes one complimentary resizing within your first year, arranged personally. Eternity bands and fully pavé bands cannot be resized; we will advise you before you commit to one.

Final sale and non-returnable items

• Fully bespoke commissions: one-of-one designs created through a private consultation.
• Engraved or otherwise personalized items. Engraved rings may still be resized once the engraving is removed.
• Group order participations. As stated in our Group Orders terms, group order pricing is settled at the close of each batch and is non-refundable.
• Deposits. Any deposit paid to reserve a piece, a consultation, or a place in a group order is non-refundable, though it is always applied toward your final purchase.
• Gift cards.

Certificates

Each diamond travels with its IGI grading report. If a report is not returned with the piece, a $150 replacement fee applies.

Authorized returns only

For security and insurance reasons, all returns must be authorized in advance. To start a return, contact us at dave@atelierdiamante.com or +1 (689) 332-3473 and we will issue an authorized, insured, prepaid return label and the return address. Items sent back without prior authorization cannot be accepted, and we cannot be responsible for uninsured packages.

Damages and defects

Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately at dave@atelierdiamante.com if your item is defective or damaged, or if you received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

European Union 14-day cooling-off period

If your eligible (non-custom, non-personalized) order is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return it within 14 days, for any reason and without justification. The item must be unworn and unused, in its original condition and packaging, with the receipt or proof of purchase. Made-to-order and personalized items are excluded, as permitted under EU consumer law.

Refunds

We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return and let you know whether the refund is approved. If approved, you will be refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since your return was approved, contact us at dave@atelierdiamante.com.
